Balanced Device Use: Orientation and Implementation Session


This session is for MHLs and Managers of Student Support Staff from boards interested in implementing the Balanced Device Use program

School Mental Health Ontario is pleased to offer an Orientation and Implementation Session for school boards interested in implementing Balanced Device Use, a three-session program designed to be delivered by Student Support Staff in small group and classroom settings. This session is intended for boards planning to implement Balanced Device Use during the upcoming school year. Mental Health Leaders and Managers of Student Support Staff who will support and coordinate program delivery within their boards are invited to participate.

During the session, participants will:

experience key components of the Balanced Device Use program to build familiarity and confidence in supporting implementationbecome acquainted with the suite of resources and materials developed to support program deliveryexplore implementation considerations and strategies to support successful delivery within their board

This session is open to school boards that have identified Media Literacy as a priority within their Annual Action Plan.

This session will be delivered in English. Materials, breakout rooms, etc. will be available in French and English.
